Kristina Lese Herbert is an Associate Attorney with Frantz Law Group with specialized experience with wildfire litigation. Kristina was born and raised in Virginia where she graduated cum laude from George Mason University with a B.A. in Child and Family Law. After completing her undergraduate studies, she served as the Program Director of VIP Mentors (a non-profit organization) in San Diego.
Kristina earned her J.D., cum laude, from California Western School of Law. She was a multi-subject tutor and received the American Jurisprudence Award (highest grade in class) in several courses. She also received the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services. Kristina completed internships with San Diego County Counsel Juvenile Division and San Diego Office of the Public Defender.
Kristina is admitted to practice in California and is a member of Lawyer’s Club of San Diego. Kristina has been a Court Appointed Special Advocate with Voices for Children since 2011 and is a board member of Earth Discovery Institute. She leverages the problem-solving skills she built advocating for underserved children to bring optimal results for families facing the devastating effects of fires. Kristina has facilitated the recovery of millions of dollars on behalf of her clients.
Kristina has represented hundreds of wildfire victims with claims including major property loss, personal injury, and wrongful death against defendant utility companies. She recognizes the long-lasting impacts surviving a fire has on her clients and is dedicated to obtaining results that allow them to rebuild their homes and lives. Kristina’s position is that holding negligent corporations legally accountable leads to the implementation of enhanced safety measures designed to prevent future catastrophic wildfires.
